Korean Movie Review: A Company Man

ASDFGHJKL!!!!!! Why did I sleep on this movie??? I literally fell asleep on this movie over the weekend.

Note to my timeline. Don’t take Advil PM before trying to watch a movie. Fell asleep on A Company Man, sigh. Gonna try again tonight.

In my defense, the migraine that I had, had me reaching for my medicine before I decided to watch. Anyways since today is So Ji Sub’s birthday, I felt the proper celebration would be to watch it again. AND I AM SO GLAD I DID.

So here’s what Asian Wiki has to say about the movie:

Hyeong-Do is an assassin for a company that masquerades as a metal trading company. One day, he takes on a job partnering with a man Hyun-Yi, who is he is to kill afterwards. Hyun-Yi asks a favor to Hyeong-Do which is to give money to his family.
Hyeong-Do visits Hyun-Yi’s home where he meets Hyun-Yi’s wife Su-Yeon. Su-Yeon is a former singer whom Hyeong-Do admired in the past. Guilt, an unknown feeling up to this point for Hyeong-Do, begins take over Hyeong-Do.
When Hyeong-Do’s company realizes that Hyeong-Do hasn’t taken out Hyun-Yi as planned, Hyeong-Do becomes quickly becomes their target …

HOLY CRAP THIS MOVIE IS AWESOME!

The action starts right at the start of the movie and does not stop. There is no lag or slow parts in my opinion. There was the beginnings of a love relationship and guess what. SPOILER ALERT!!!

She dies!!!

You know all hell breaks loose. I’m talking knife fights, gunfights that rival that scene from The Matrix, and hand to hand combat that would put any American action to shame.

Also, can we just have a moment to fangirl over So Ji Sub? I mean seriously….*sigh* My heart for So Ji-Sub. Is he married? Shoot what am I talking about, I’m married. I don’t I’ve squealed over a movie like this since Man From Nowhere.

So bottom line? WATCH THIS ISH!!! Seriously! Great action movie that gives you what you want, which is action, action and more action. Check out the trailer below:
